Mr. Absher’s Art Classes
3rd Quarter 9 week Project
 
All three day a week Art classes are to create and submit a 9-week project.
 
The project will be graded on the following criteria, which are worth 100 points each:

<p align="center">3<sup>rd</sup> Quarter 9 week Project</p>

<p>All three day a week Art classes are to create and submit a 9-week project.</p>
<p> </p>

<p>Requirements:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø  Use 12” by 15” drawing paper (no other size is acceptable).  PAPER MAY NOT BE FOLDED!!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø  Subject must be a <strong>Landscape</strong> from life or photo.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø  Medium must be <strong>colored pencil</strong> or <strong>oil pastel</strong> (if oil pastel is used… you must also use a spray fixative to keep the oil pastel from rubbing off the paper.  An inexpensive hair spray such as “Aquanet” will work fine.)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø  DUE DATE: NO LATER THAN MARCH 12<sup>TH</sup>, 2008<strong>.  <u>NO PROJECTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 3:00 PM ON THAT DATE!!!!!</u></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>All 7th and 8th grade students who have Art classes with Mr. Absher 3 times a week are required to submit a special project every 9 week grading period. For the 2ND Quarter, each student must turn in a SELF PORTRAIT from a Photograph. This art work must be on any color paper (or art board) 12” X 18” in size. No other size will be accepted.<br />
- SHADING &amp; SHADOWS ARE REQUIRED!!<br />
- YOUR PHOTO MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF                     YOUR SELF-PORTRAIT!!<br />
- YOU MAY USE ANY MEDIA BUT USE A FIXATIVE IF THE MEDIA IS LOOSE (COMES OFF ON HANDS).</p>
<p>ALL WORK MUST BE TURNED IN TO MR. A BEFORE DECEMBER 14TH (FRIDAY). THIS PROJECT WILL BE WORTH UP TO 300 POINTS ON YOUR 9 WEEK GRADE.</p>
